Lime & Garlic Shrimp

24. January 2018Milly2209 views
Try out this quick recipe for lime and garlic schrimp. This combination of flavours is really good - and this dish is prepared in 15 minutes! #recipe #shrimp #lowcarb

If you like “Surf & Turf” dishes, then these shrimps are for you. They have great flavor but they won’t overpower the taste of the meat either. My mother sometimes made us garlic and butter shrimps when we were little, and I never liked the – until I grew up 🙂 My tastes have evolved so much in the last few years, now I eat many things I didn’t like before. Shrimps are a good example, but also  and raw meat like beef ta(r)tar and carpaccio. But I still don’t like sushi:)

These shrimps are delicious and so quick to prepare. I mostly use froze shrimps as here in Graz, the choice and quality of fresh shrimps is limited. The frozen shrimps are fresh and their quality is fine! Just thaw the shrimps and fry them at high heat in a pan. Add salt and pepper as required. Add the lime juice and let it simmer until it has fully evaporated. The shrimps will now colour very quickly so be careful. Add the garlic and fry for a few seconds before taking everything of the stove. Add the parsley and butter and let it melt. Et voilà 🙂

This dish is a great starter and goes well with some fresh leafy salad, maybe fresh sweet figs and/or crispy bacon..then again bacon goes with everything :)
